Leitir.is (RU) - Leitir.is grants access to various scientific, educational, and leisure materials. The search engine gives information on access to books, journals, articles, ebooks, audiobooks, music, photographs, university theses, audiovisual and much more. Students can select to search only in the RU library's catalogue. | |
Journals in subscription - A comprehensive list of all journals in RU subscription and the Icelandic Consortia and several open access journals. The results give information on where the journal is accessible, what issues/volumes are available and if the journal is peer-reviewed. | |
Search and find - a detailed guide for finding reliable sources, information on peer-review, plagiarism, Turnitin and more. | |
IEEE reference style - students in Computer Science, should use the IEEE reference style to make citations and reference lists. | |
Zotero - Zotero is a free reference management tool that the library recommends. The tool manages sources, creates citations and generates a reference list according to IEEE reference style (as well as multiple other styles available). Zotero works with MS Word and Overleaf. | |
Overleaf - An online LaTeX editor that's easy to use. No installation, real-time collaboration, version control, hundreds of LaTeX templates, and more. | |
Turnitin - Turnitin is an originality checking and plagiarism prevention service that checks writing for citation mistakes or inappropriate copying. When a paper is submitted, Turnitin compares it to text in its massive database of student work, websites, books, articles, etc. | |
Interlibrary Loan - If the library doesn't own the book or doesn't have access to a specific article, students can request the material via Interlibrary Loan. Please check out the price list before ordering. |
